SENIOR BUYER - Knaresborough

The Senior Buyer is responsible for ensuring that products are sourced and delivered to achieve maximum value to the business within agreed timescales and KPI's.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Product sourcing and supplier negotiation
• Set up vendor schedules
• Negotiate improved purchasing conditions with suppliers to increase gross margin
• Continued Supplier evaluation
• Hold material reviews with planners and advise team of any delivery issues
• Deal with reject and quarantined materials promptly
• Prepare management reports
• Interface with end customer where required

PERSON SPECIFICATION

• Experienced Electronics Senior Buyer / CIPS qualified preferred
• Extensive procurement experience - electronic components
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
• Self motivated
